A myriad of recruitment methods are utilized to recruit the best possible candidates the market has to offer including employee referrals, classified advertising, universities, colleges and technical institutes, customer referrals and internet advertising. Our screening and interviewing systems are designed to select applicants with appropriate skills, expertise and personality to fit each client’s individual needs. Among other things, data entry operators must possess the following qualities:- Ability to stay focused and work at a terminal for 8 hours per day
- Possess proven diligent work habits
- Have good oral and written skills
- Detail-oriented
- Fast, accurate data entry skills
- Experience in a high volume data entry environment
Our data entry tests have been custom designed to measure an operator’s speed and accuracy on both numeric and alpha/numeric applications with a customized software package. The software allows us to ascertain each candidate’s data entry speed and accuracy, while determining adaptability to a variety of applications. Our minimum criteria for registration with élan’s pool of temporary operators is 10,000 keystrokes per hour and an accuracy rate of 98% or better. In addition to our customized data entry test, élan utilizes the industry standard for applicant testing, the Prove-It Evaluation Program. The software is continually upgraded and allows us to test the following software packages: Windows, Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
It is mandatory that all élan personnel read and sign an “Assignment Awareness Form” and a “Confidentiality Agreement”. The awareness form outlines the employee’s duties and obligations when assigned to a client’s office. The confidentiality form ensures that the contents of documents are held in confidence. Copies of both of these forms are available upon request. In addition, all employees are bonded at the time of employment.
